I booked a villa that I found on flipkey through an internet search. The link is above and here: http://www.flipkey.com/leeward-villa-rentals/p201003/

The villa exists and the owner, Basia Zaiden, is rated highly on the internet. Apparently the flipkey page was cloned and when I clicked on the "contact" link I was not sent to the real Basia Zaiden.

I clicked on the "contact owner" link and went through the process of reserving a villa via email. I received a reservation form, filled it out, wired the funds, and received confirmation that the booking was complete. That was the last response I received from the "owner."

I finally managed to track dow the real Basia Zaiden who indicated that she had received calls like this before and that it happen to people who booked through flipkey.
