We were looking to adopt or purchase an English Bulldog and were directed to Dr. Sam by Cara in Rhode Island. Dr. Sam responded to our inquiry stating that he currently had 3 bulldog puppies for adoption, two females and one male. We told him we were interested in the male and were quoted the price of $450. After agreeing to allow us to adopt "Taylor", he informed us he would take Taylor to Chase Pet Ship for shipping. The total adoption and shipping fees were $503.95 and we were instructed to send the money by MoneyGram Express Payment. We did as instructed to account #411 388 556 company name ZipZap Inc in San Francisco, Ca. with receive code 9611. The Chase Pet Ship account status on the internet then stated "Pending Flight Payment" to Louisa & Tommy Forester Tracking #898473922. We then received an e-mail from Chase Pet Ship stating that they needed another crate to ship in and cash refundable insurance on Taylor before shipping. They stated that Dr. Sam bought a new crate and requested that we cover the insurance. We were stated a cost of $473.95 and to pay it the same way as the first payment except the account # was 713416170 with the same receive code number. On 24 March 2013, I checked on the shipping status of our puppy and found that Taylor was now pending shipment to a Brandy Holbrook in Whitesburg, KY. pending flight payment. We immediately tried to call Chase Pet Ship at 701-446-8195 to find out what happened and they would not answer the phone. We tried to call Dr. Sam at 701-214-6990 with no answer. We then realized that it had to be a scam.
