My boyfriend has an account with Dish network and I ordered a pay per view event a month ago but did not want my bf to get charged for it so I paid it over the phone with my debit card by requesting to not use the card info on file but another card. My bf went to pay his bill as he does monthly over the phone with his debit card which is stored on his account. When he paid it the last 4 numbers of the card were not his so he requested to speak to a live CS Rep. and asked him to confirm the card info because the last 4 did not match his card that he uses monthly to pay. The rep. checked and my bf confirmed that is not his card so the rep. supposely reversed the transaction of $221.56 from my card and paid the bill again with my bf's card. I did not authorize this transaction nor did Dish network inorm me that my card info would be stored. I was unaware of this until yesterday when I checked my account and noticed I was in the negative for the pymt amount of $221.56 plus a $37 NSF fee. I informed my bank and caled Dish to request a letter faxed to my bank informing them that the charge was an error and unathorized. Dish network refused! My bf called back to ask how long the reversal would take to process and no reversal of the unauthorized transaction was on file when he requested it immediatley the day before. He then requested to reverse the unauthorized payment and went thru the process again. I now have to visit my bank branch and file a complaint/FRAUD, take time of of work and waste my time fixing an error on Dish network's end that they refuse to take responsibility for by NOT faxing a letter to my bank so the charge can be corrected asap and i can avoid NSF fees and my account getting all messed up. Please help!
