I was contacted in regards to a federal grant that I was drawn for. Guess there was about 1500 people that was selected. I was told to contact number 202-657-4853. His name was Calvin Jones and he said he worked for the US government grant and financing department. He gave me his federal ID CH257 and told me I would be getting 9,500 for a grant for good credit, no bankruptcy and years of paying taxes. He said all I had to do is pay $320 for a security deposit. I paid the 320 then he said i needed $595 more for tax purposes. When I said you never told me that I needed 595 I was told that there would be a penalty I would have to pay for cancelling my grant. Is there any way I can my 320 back and not have to pay a penalty charge? I want to say this is a scam but not sure.
