Received a call from 404-400-1147 saying that because I have paid my bills on time I am eligible to have my intrest rates reduced. They appeared to have all my information, but wanted me to verify my credit card numbers and expiration dates. Then they wanted my checking account number and routing number, but couldn't explain why other than to say, "That's the card you use to pay your bills with." NOT!!!! After a number of questions to a Steve Bommel, he turned the phone over to his supervisor, Eric Hamet. Again I questioned this individual only to have him hang up on me. After this I called my bank and informed them of the situation. They cancelled my cards and will reissue me new ones with new numbers. This is the 6th time I have had problems with my accounts at Chase. They have been good about reopening the accounts in question and have never charged me a dime for the service, however I have to wonder where these people are getting what little info they have. I would like to think that Chase is secure, but I have my doubts. At any rate, if you receive any calls from 404-400-1147, just don't answer it.
