The company or person contact no longer exists

International boundaries

They post my personal home address and phone number and I have emailed them about it with no response. I have also tried to edit and delete my information but they won't approve my edits. Its a privacy violation of my rights and I intend to pursue charges. They claim that "other" sources are responsible for the info on their site yet, no source appears anywhere and I have contacted DnB for removal so it should be removed from their site too. I have never posted my personal phone and address online, therefore they should not have the right to do this.

  • FindTheCompany.com has information on over 30M companies in the US. FindTheCompany acts as a company advocate, providing small businesses with the opportunity to gain visibility among prospective customers. We connect millions of customers to businesses and encourage businesses to use FindTheCompany as a unique opportunity to reach their target audience.

Most of the data comes from Dun & Bradstreet, a company that compiles and licenses information on over 205M businesses and companies worldwide. We strive to keep the information accurate and encourage users to help with this. FindTheBest provides users with the option of editing their information by creating an account and submitting changes which go through an approval process. Users can also remove their information by calling a dedicated, toll-free number (800-765-3867) or through submitting an online form (https://iupdate.dnb.com). There is no pushback from the D&B team when an individual or company wishes to remove a listing, only a step to confirm the user is actually affiliated with the listing/authorized to make the change. Once the change is confirmed in the source database, FindTheBest will promptly update the listing to reflect the changes. We also always recommend submitting a request on our contact us page the receive more personalized help. You can find this link in the footer of our site homepages.

If you have removed the information from Dun and Bradstreet and FindTheBest has not removed it as well in the following few days, Dun and Bradstreet may be behind on sending a confirmation email to FindTheBest. We recommend that you contact Dun and Bradstreet and make sure they have sent notice of the change to FindTheBest so that we can remove your listing from our site. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help you out by submitting a request on our contact us page. Take care.

  • D&B has removed all of my info yet Findthecompany has not in spite of my many email requests and form submissions I have sent so the above comment from them is a lie. They refuse to approve my edits, even though the business is non existent. They want your personal information to be public so they can sell it an make money off of your info.

  • I went through the troulbe to join Findthecompany so I could remove my private unlisted home phone # and address they posted up. I cant change a thing! I called, they said I have to wait by the phone (unless I would like to share with them my cell phone! ) till a credit place they got the info from calls me to verify i want them to remove the info! really? they need a third party to confirm that? I called them from the personal line they have posted... isn't that proof enough. I am really hoping someone spams that lame girl I talked to so she can find out how much fun having your phone # on line is. I love calls from people trying to sell me stuff for my in home craft based cottage hobby business. this site is not at all helpful. its done absolutely nothing for me. they are selling my private info for profit. I would love to find a way to sue them for this.
