I clicked on a banner ad that stated I could make thousands of dollars simply by filling out consumer surveys from home. After signing up and taking one or two surveys, I soon realized that I would not be receiving any money, but rather, was getting boatloads of spam e-mail.

- Is that what it is all about. Giving out your info for spam. They are probably selling your info and making money. And if they do pay at all it probably is a fraction off of what you make. - thanks

- Well, at least you didn't loose any money, maybe a bit of time. But yes, that is definitely a scam.
