I bought a Samsung Intercept for $79.99 plus tax in April of 2012 and it worked well for about 3 months. Then it started malfunctioning. I called and asked for a different model phone, same price. I was told it was against company policy. They could only replace it with another Samsung Intercept. Within a month my first replacement malfunctioning. Replaced with the same piece of crap model. It malfunctioned within a month. They replaced it with another piece of crap. It took 2 months to malfunction. They replaced it again. Another malfunction. I've been through 6 replacement phones. The last one that I got this past week couldn't even be activated, because the MEID number wasn't in their system. It took 2 days and 4 calls to Virgin Mobile to get through to a supervisor's supervisor. That person even hung up on me. But I called right back and it was activated. BIG MISTAKE!! It has malfunctioned from the moment I loaded the first app, an antivirus. I really hate this phone and am sick to death of arguing with Virgin Mobile.
Update: 08/12/2013
I talked to the head Supervisor and we got the whole thing settled by trading my Samsung Intercept for a kyocera Event. I paid $10 for the upgrade and am now happy with my phone. For now.
