Signed up for a personal trainer over 4 weeks ago & I haven't received services. I paid $159 to start & they took $60 out with no services provided.
I signed up to do the personal training on March 9, 2013. I signed up with my aunt and we decided that the money would come from my bank account and my aunt would pay me the other half in cash. We were both told that we would get a phone call on Monday, March 11, 2013. She never received a phone call, not even till this day and I received my phone call on Friday, March 15, 2013. Mike, a personal trainer said that he was assigned to me and asked what days worked best. I told him that Saturday mornings or Tuesdays evenings worked best. He told me that those were the two days that he had off and could not do those days. He tried to get me to do other days, but I told him that my aunt and I signed up together and were told that we would have to train together and those were the only two days that she and I could do together. He stated OK, I cannot be your trainer so I will have someone else that works those days call you back. I never received another phone call after that and no one tried to reach out to me. Finally, on April 6, 2013 I went to the gym that I signed up at and asked for the person in charge of the personal training. The employee at the gym stated that it was an outside company and he stated that they are shifting management now and that may be why no one called me and he gave me a phone number and a name, Jason, to call and said to me, if he does not answer, please come back and let me know and I will put you in touch with someone else. I called the guy and left a voice mail on April 9, 2013. He called me back that same day and I explained that I signed up, never received services, that I thought the company was unprofessional for taking all of this money and never following through with the services. He asked if I wanted a trainer and I told him that I no longer trusted the company and no longer wanted the services. He gave me the phone number to headquarters. I called called and left a voice mail for headquarters on April 9, 2013. No one called me back the next day so I called them a little before 3pm on April 10, 2013. I spoke to a guy on the phone who told me that I could either get the services now or I have to pay 25% of the total cost which would be $120 to cancel. I was very upset. I explained to him that I did not trust them, and I did not want the services. I explained that I signed up weeks ago, never received any training, and yet they still took $60 out of my account to pay for a month of training that I never received and all I wanted was my money back. He told me again that I could pay the cancellation fee or get the services. I told him that I wanted to speak to someone higher than him and I would continue to move up the ladder until I got my money back. At this point, the man on the phone laughed at me and after telling me that everyone I would speak with would tell me that I had to pay the $120 to cancel, finally said he could forward me to Jessie, his manager, and that I could leave her a voice mail. I left Jessie a voice mail with my number and asked her to call me back. I told her that if I did not hear back from her, I would call the company over and over again until someone would speak to me. The company is 100% unprofessional and they have horrible customer service representatives.
