In 2011 ordered Plain Rubble Stone$6,800 to match stone on existing home built 2005. Incorrect color stone was delivered. Company refuses to exchange In 2005 I built my original home and ordered Plain Rubble Stone out of the Centurion Stone Catalog $9,000 worth. I added an addition to my home in 2011 so naturally wanted to order matching stone. 12/13/2011 - $6,800 paid by Check. Order # 1698 my mason David ordered Plain Rubble via Centurion Stone 2011 order catalog the colors from 2005 and 2011 catalog where the same for Plain Rubble. When stone arrived it was the wrong color, not even close. I called the sales rep Bill Lang(708)377-7900 at Centurion Stone MidWest to let him know. Bill needed proof so he flew (March of 2012)to my home with another sales rep from Ohio and they agreed it was the wrong color and shook my hand telling me it would be fixed and taken care of. Weeks later I sent samples to Mr. Lang of the stone from my original house because Mr. Lang said they would make new stone to match the original house. The samples were successfully matched (May 2012) as MR. Lang sent me samples and I said , Yes, they match, lets go with it. I believed the matter was settled and that they would ship the new stone and pick up the pallets of the incorrect stone that have been now sitting on my drive way as an eye sore for a whole year not to mention a home addition with no outer protective barrier, no gutters, soil erosion and now facing another spring/summer with incomplete landscaping. My final house inspection has been pending on the stone completion also. Summer came and went I heard nothing back. I called Mr. Lang in September to find out status of my order. He then said there was a problem and that his boss at Centurion Stone Nashville- Roger Cunningham asked Bill who was going to pay for the newly matched stone. I then called Mr. Cunningham to discuss the issue of exchanging the stone. Mr. Cunningham asked me for more samples of the original house so I shipped him more samples and he never mentioned anything to me about money or who was going to pay for the new stone. I assumed he agreed with making things right and going through with the exchange. So I waited....sigh.....2 months later I recieved the samples from MR. Cunningham and I called him right away to tell him they matched the original house. He then informed me he was going to ship me 5 skids/pallets which was needed to complete the addition but I would have to pay for 3 pallets ($3,300)and he would pay for 2 pallets. Remember, I already paid $6,800 plus $575 for shipping for my original order which is still sitting on my driveway, which can't be used. I then got my attorney involved.Pentiuk, Couvreur & Kobiljak Attorneys at Law sent a letter on March 2013 to Centurion Stone legal department and to this day my attorney has not gotten a response from Centurion. I then asked my daugther Annette Vitale to help out with this matter, so she placed a call in March to Tim Purdue President Centurion Stone and left 2 voice mails. Last week,my daughter called Centurion Stone CFO and left a message, she has not gotten a return call from anyone.
