I responded to a Work From Home ad by People's Lifestyle, Inc. and sent them the money for whatever I needed. After looking them up on the internet and seeing all the bad reviews, I called within a couple hours to cancel. I was told the package had already gone out but if returned it, my credit card would be credited. I did that, wrote a letter requesting a refund, spoke with several people at the company regarding the issue, and finally contacted my credit card company to intervene. I was told People's never received the package, so I checked my tracking sheet and called the Sidell Postmaster General who said the company refuses packages. He agreed that this is probably a scam company. I called the BBB in New Orleans and learned the company had 98 compaints in 36 months and it won't respond to the BBB. What can be done to stop these fraudulant companies?
