I rented a car from rentalcars.com and it was paid online, but when I went to pick up the car in costa rica they were trying to get more money from me than they were supposed to. They told me my bank card was going to be used for a deposit of $750.00 but my bank called me to warn of a 1,000 hold that was attempting. Also they were being pushy with their hands out saying just do this, just pay this all the while acting like they didn't understand english. It was the manner in the way they were trying to handle me caused me to not take the car and told them to cancel the rental. I contacted rentalcars.com. I told them the same thing that I'm telling you and they said after investigating the case that my rental was canceled They said it was a now show. The cancellation fee was the same as my rental fee (just so happens). I insisted that they refund the rental charge to my bank card and they said the matter was closed. JUST LIKE THAT I'm supposed to just say ok and these companies continue to steal from people even for an amount of only $74.00. UNBELIEVABLE! REFERENCE BOOKING #268981547
