I received something in the mail saying I won a $100 shopping spree at Walmart/Target. I called the number and the voice prompt said that I won a $3000 shopping spree and $50 gas voucher. The representative I spoke to said that there is no purchase necessary and they are only charging a one-time processing fee of $3.95. I figured it was too small of an amount to be a scam. I asked how I won this and they said I filled out an online survey (which I do occasionally, only on big-name companies and fast-food receipts). They went on to promote this membership to this club and saying that if I do not like the product, I could simply cancel my subscription within 10 days with no charge. About a week later I received more junk mail urging me to subscribe and activate my membership, that I ignored coz I realized that I'm not getting anything out of their services. They charged me $3.95 twice, and today I saw another charge of $12+ from the same company. I sent them an e-mail saying that I did not activate any of the things they sent me and I have not used any of their products, and I want a refund. Tomorrow I will call them to straighten this out and call my bank to stop these unauthorized charges before I lose even more of my money. First time this happened to me, I won't fall for any unsolicited mail/e-mail/phone-calls that are asking for my credit card info anymore. Good luck to everyone.
