I ordered a bouquet for Mother's Day on May 4, 2013. I spoke to Keith and instructed him to have the bouquet delivered on May 10, 2013. It was supposed to be delivered from The Flower Cottage in Chicago, Illinois to my mother's house (which is only about 6 blocks away). I was assured that it would be done. At 7:39 PM On May 10, 2013 I received an email from Teleflora stating that the local Teleflora florist had sold out of the bouquet I ordered. They failed to tell me that they did not order it from The Flower Cottage but from another florist at 2:30 PM on May 10, 2013 which was on the other side of town from where my Mother lives. They stated that they would give me a 30% discount on my next purchase up until November 30, 2013.
I called them x 3 and tried to speak to a manager but they kept giving me the run around. I kept speaking to the same person (who was hard to understand) and I couldn't get anywhere with him. I requested that the manager call me and kept being told he (then she) was in a meeting. I told them I needed to speak to a Manager so they could make the decision, since the people I spoke to could not do so. I don't want 30% off my next purchase. I want 30% off my card now for this purchase and 20% off for the inconvenience and stress of trying to speak to someone who could give me an answer. I do not want to order from them again since nothing was done to my satisfaction. The flowers were not even close to what I ordered and there were not even as many...most of it was greenery. I feel that I was cheated out of my money and I am very disappointed in the service and delivery to my Mother. They did have my telephone number to call me which was also never done. Had they ordered the flowers ahead of time...maybe they would have had the right selection and had they ordered it from the correct florist...I am sure that none of this would have happened. i have gotten nowhere to get a name of someone with higher authority that I could speak to and try to resolve this issue. Please help me.
