SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! If I can give a negative star review I would. I thought I did my research and somewhat ignored all the negative reviews because I wanted to give this company the benefit of the doubt, but I should of listened to the reviewers. I sent in a pair of Christian Dior sunglasses about a month and a half ago. I sent them in to get fixed because you can't even find or buy these glasses anymore. I requested them to fix the nose piece and replace swarski (spell) crystals that were missing off the frames. I was charged like $17 immediately thinking this would go to shipping costs...well I was wrong about that. Anyways... I received a quote a couple weeks later after emails where sent asking if they had a chance to look at it. Again...this BECKY character sent me an email saying they were at the "lab" and I would receive a quote when they had a chance. Finally receive the quote of approximately $100 plus another shipping charge to fix my glasses, which I paid almost immediately. Worst decision I have ever made.

So I wait another week and a half and finally receive my glasses. I got them in a box looked at them and was in shock... crystals were replaced with cheap metal imitations as well as placed poorly with glue clearly visible and smeared. I was like wow...ok...I'll send them an email later and express my concerns about the poor craftsmanship and service I received. I wore them that day for about an hour and took them off because all of a sudden they started feeling loose. I take them off and low and behold a crystal screw in the frame had popped out. That was it! I got on their website when I got back home to find out who I needed to talk to and get this resolved. I call...no one answered. So I requested a chat session with a customer service rep. Which was no help whatsoever. All she told me was I can send them back and they can fix them, which I don't see how they can even do that, or I can opt and get a $10 refund. WHAT?!?! They ruined a $500 pair of designer sunglasses and all they offer me is $10. Then she informed me if I wasn't satisfied with that then I can email customer service, which I did right away. And wow was I in for a shocking surprise. This BECKY character emailed me the following;

"I am appaled that you can say stuff like that. We performed a service, you received the frames, did not say anything, wore the frames and now have the audacity to say it was "cheap".

yes we were being generous by offering you a discount, and you claim that's not enough.

Are you kidding me?!? I explained my problem in a professional manner and this is what I get!? So a pissing contest ensues...back and forth...with her accusing me that I am trying to pull a fast one. WTF. Me pull a fast one. All I want is to not have a broken pair of Dior sunnies sitting in a case, because this company destroyed them. When I think the treatment I received couldn't get any worse I get this email sent which states the following word for word;

"I would not agree we destroyes your glasses, that is absurd. And we do not use cheap materials. Who ever said we are refunding you $10? I would make it favorable for both of us."

This is when I realized I was dealing with a scam and would never see a dime of my money again! On top of that my glasses are forever ruined. I am still dealing with this joke of a company and want to implore to anyone and everyone to not send a dime to this company or use any of their services in any way. Thank you for your time... that was a long one!

  • Optics Fast is a front for Vitaly Borker. If you're unfamiliar with the name, read the series of NY TImes articles about him. Optics Fast was incorporated three days before Borker was arrested in Dec. 2010 and is running all the same scams on unsuspecting consumers. There may be a window of time left to dispute the charge with your bank. Let it AND your card company know that on your behalf they should not enable this scam activity.
