I started having trouble with the texting feature on my phone. I called the company and explained to them that just the day before I received 49 text messages after going four days without receiving a text message. Most of the messages were days old and messages I was waiting for a response to. I called them. They said I needed a new phone. I saw a phone on their website for 89.00 that I wanted but I was able to get the phone for far cheaper. I ordered the cheaper phone, which was for use on he Verizon nework. I called them, they activated the phone without a problem an once again, the texting feature was not working. At this point, I am sure it was a service problem, not a phone problem. Now the first phone I had, which I had purchased from ROW, was the phone I had the trouble with. ROW told me that I would need a new phone. I found it cheaper and for that reason, they tell me that I didn't purchase the phone from them so there wasn't much they could do about my problem. I disconneted my service with ROW and went with another Lifeline Phone Company. I filed a complaint with the BBB in Columbus Ohio, for the return of half the money I paid for a month of 'umlimited text and talk' since I could not text or respond, and I am also asking for the money I had to pay for a new phone that I really didn't need because the texting issue was a 'service' problem, not a phone problem. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! Got to Q-Link, Safelink, Assured Wireless or another company. The BBB has more than 300 complaints logged with them againt ROW for everything from customers never receiving phones they purchased or customers not receiving the service they are paid to provide. When I did get through, I found myself usually talking to a man with a thick East Indian accent, or a woman with an Asian accent. These people are sitting on the other side of the world and give less than a rat's ass about your phone problem. They only reason they are talking to me now is because I went through the BBB and I would urge anyone who has a complaint against ROW to do the same. They are a 'jackleg' company and they have no business being in the business of providing a service to needy or disabled consumers.
