I was inquiring about personal loans for the upcoming holidays, so I filled out for one on "one" website and it feed my information to many others. I didn't know it would do that. I checked my account this morning so ensure all my auto bills had come out and saw a ACH pending for $30 from a company I never even heard of. I called the number and spoke with some guy with a foreign accent and he tried to steadily offer me loans. I asked who authorized that transaction he said that when I filled out the application online I did, but the thing is it wasn't even for that company. He said my money will be refunded within 7-10 business days. Ultimately I didn't take any loans, personal or payday that any company tried to offer. My in-box has been flooded with emails from these companies. Lesson learned. I want put that type of information online anymore, and I am thinking of closing that account altogether, if they got it once whose to say them or another company wont try it again; that time I may not have enough to cover an unauthorized transaction.
