I received an email with the Career Builder letter template. I took it as being legitimate since it had their logo. Here is the letter that I received.

I went through the entire hiring process along with supplying my business bank account for the needs of the business. I am at the end of my two week training period and I never received a wiretransfer ( THANK GOODNESS. ) I was locked out of my account at one point and contacted the "rep" line. I spoke with someone and he stated that he would send up the issue to his IT department. After not hearing back from him, I called and called and called. Left message after message. I found this odd. I then called from my husbands phone and got an answer. The gentleman stated that they were still working on the issue and that he would get back with me. I didn't receive a call back or a response to an email that I sent to my hiring manager. I then called from my phone and my husbands. Two rings on each phone and then voicemail. Found this odd again. Called from my phone but blocked my number. The phone rang and rang and rang. No answer, no messaging system. I guess they block numbers they no longer want contact with. So this is when I really became skeptical about everything. That is when I started doing research on the web and found that ECONTRUST LIMITED and SOCOFER TRADING LIMITED were coming from the same server. I also called CAREER BUILDER to see if all companies thy posted to their site were actual companies. The lady I spoke with stated that not all are and that their name and templates are being fraudulently used. So words to the wise, do not think that all emails from Career builders are legit. Make sure if you do apply with a company, that you actually go the place of business or validate the physical address. Hope this reaches all that need it.

  • Hello I've been all over the web trying to find any information about this company and unfortunately this is the only complaint that I have ran across and it really doesn't give me the doubts just yet. I admit I have sensed a little red flag while going over the policy and procedures of the company but so far they haven't asked for any money plus the training materials appear to be legit. My husband was a little skepticle about me going further with this company but I assured him that I would check it out. So far I haven't gotten any wire transfers either and I'm still able to log into the system. But we will see on pay day if this is the real deal. But I understand completely how you would feel. Did you let them know that you were going to report them? How and why did they block out your account. Because I know at one point their whole site was down due to some type of maintenance. I hope it isn't a scam though.

  • Hello,

Well when you look at their website, it states that they have been in business since 2007. When you google them everything about the company is since September 1st of this year. I have been calling them since this past Monday, leaving messages and also sending messages through the "Request a phone call" button on the ecostaff back office. I have yet to get a call back. So to answer your question, I have not told them that I was going to report them because I cant even get them to call me back. I also sent an email to Brett Whitfield, the HR manager, and he has not replied back to me. I did a lot of research and was able to find where and who supplies their domain and website. When I did this is stated that the server also supported a website ( stltrends.com ) Google this an you will see all the scam reports. Notice how it is exactly the same thing that we went through. Also when you look at when the website was formed, the starting date was September 1st of this year. Hmmmmm...... Kind of odd that everything about this company started on September 1st.

Also, career builder does not even have this company on file with them. The letter that I received was a false letter.

If I were you I would not continue business with them. If you do get funds in your account and you withdraw them, be prepares to get in trouble for breaking the law. All they are doing is running a money laundering business.

    Hope this helps

  • Thanks for the information. I thought about the fact that we're unable to print the position overview as well only some things are able to be printed but even if they did deposit the money in your acccount you can still have the bank inquire on the origin of the transfer and take it from there that way they will know that you are not part of the scam and if you receive any money it was from a legitimate employer and that you had no idea. Not to say that you were a part of the BS just that you are seeking employment and until the shit hits the fan you're still entitled to your earnings. Atleast thats how I see it. So even though you went through the 2 weeks of training you still didn't get your training pay? And what was the name of your personal manager if you don't mind me asking. I think that they have a really good setup if they are using people because everything looks so legit from the online task management to the training manuals. I mean people are really getting away with alot via the internet and thats sad because there are really good work at home jobs out there and we will never trust them because of operations like this one. And I honestly didn't even remember applying for the job and that also sent a red flag but because I put in so many applications I couldn't really remember. I hope someone can shed some more light on this situation for us and it's bad because we(me and you) alike have submitted some very personal banking information to these people so I completely understand where you are coming from.

    Hope we're helped.

  • As for getting, never happened. The name of my personal manager was " Cynthia Harris".

Another odd thing was the fact that when you went to their "contact" tab on their website. The phone number section was none functioning. Also, under the recruiting section they tell you to send in your resume and cover letter. Yet there is no email listed to send it to. N

It is very sad that this is happening. I honestly was looking for something like this so that I could stay home with my daughter. Oh well I will just keep looking

    Good luck

  • I wish you the best in luck also. I was really looking forward to this as well but as I was telling my friends and family about everybody felt like it was a scam it sounds too good to be true. Think about it I don't know about you but I didn't submit no identification whatsoever. Plus $19 an hour to access peoples investments. Plus the $150 bonus for doing these tasks within 3 hours. I estimated that with my regular salary plus bonuses I would've been making atleat $10,000.00 monthly. LOL! Definitely not likely. Plus something like this wouldn't even recruit people from home they would open a legitimate investment firm in the USA. Plus the Georgia address is actually a P.O. Box so like I said there were alot of red flags but I was trying to stay hopeful. There are real jobs from home out there like Liveops, Workathomeagent.com, and Alpine Access. So don't give up just yet. But Econtrusts salary and wages did sound delightful. Again I wish you the best in luck also.

  • I received all this info as well and i did go thru the process and money was wired to me. I went thru the task with them and they then changed some things after i sent off money to these people so i stop the transactions. now i'm being harrassed, all emails has been deleted from my email from them, they are hacking my facebook page and constantly telling me its not a scam. BEWARE PEOPLE!!! I have contacted the fbi, attorney general office and the better business bureau. save all info you get from them because these people have the ability to remove it out your email and make it like they never existed.

  • Wow! Are you serious? What is it that they changed? And how did you stop the transaction if you had already sent the money did you keep the money. And even if they deleted it wouldnt it still be somewhere on your computer since you involved the fbi they should be able to find something on your hard drive to show that you wasnt making this up. Thats why I try to print out all emails and applications in case I delete anything by mistake and this is just why. But I never thought they would actually hack into your computer and still back the email they sent. They are no joke if they can do all of that no telling what else they can do.
