After applying for an administrative assistant position found on Indeed.com,I was contacted by someone claiming to represent Nicox, inc. "Micheal West" arranged an "interview" on yahoo messenger, then told me I was hired for the position, and that they were going to send me a check to purchase office equipment necessary for the job. This is a scam. No reputable business works in this manner, and especially does not have an @yahoo.com email address for the HR department.

- Did you do anything else related to this? I have just had the "interview" as well and didn't know what they ask you to do. Do they make you purchase equipment and claim to reimburse you? or do they actually send you money for that? It seemed weird to me, but wanted to see what happened with you.
