I've had account for at least 8 years, probably 10. On June 8, 2010, I received notice from PayPal that my account was limited and that I needed to provide information to verify my identity in order to have the restriction lifted.

I was married in 1998 and took his last name. We later divorced and I neglected to request that I be returned to my maiden name.

My father and I had not spoken for approximately 15 years. I contacted him and over a period of time, we were able to resume communication and resolve our dispute. I began using my maiden name again. My father was getting old and I know this meant alot to him given it was my only name for 40 years! I never sent the marriage information to anyone (I didn't want to get married).

My father died last year.

I have paychecks from same employer in both names, I have debit card in maiden name and have deposited checks with married name into the debit account. I received a check for $5,000 which I was able to cash with my ID that is in my married name. Social Security recognizes me under my maiden name.

PayPal was sent copies of the paystubs showing both names, a copy of my current gas bill in maiden name, birth certificate, other ID in maiden name, debit cards in maiden name and marriage license. This wasn't good enough for them to lift restrictions.

I am working as a mystery shopper. I have a few companies that I work regularly for. The pay Direct Deposit, and several that I have performed assignments for that send me a check.

My problem is that there are numerous companies that will only pay through PayPal. If you don't have account, sign up for one. I have an account except that I cannot utilize it. Therefore I am unable to work for these companies. I have gone through sign up process with 12 companies that I wanted to apply for specific jobs. Without PayPal account, I am unable to request any assignments because they only pay through PayPal.

I have lost a significant amount of money which I desperately need. I face eviction every month trying to come up with my rent. Times are hard for so many, I am getting up in the years, and due to injury/aging, I am unable to resume previous type of employment and mystery shopping has provided a little relief.

However without PayPal, I am unable to earn through those additional sites. I want to sue them or file a class action against them if there are enough people with legitimate claims. This does not seem right that they can discriminate against me and refuse to discuss resolving the matter short of my going through the legal process of changing my name. I do not have the funds to change my name. They refuse to discuss any further.
