Two African American young people came to my door and stated that they were selling magazine subscriptions for points to qualify for college funds. I picked out two children's books and gave them two chk's totaling $60.00. The woman asked to use the restroom so I let her in. BAD MISTAKE!!! After she left, I noticed that two pairs of gold pierced earrings were missing along with a pair of tweezers. I can only wear gold earrings, so noticing them being gone was very easy! I Googled their web site and found out they are scammers. I immediately went to my bank and put a stop payment on my chks. I also called their office and reported that I wanted to cancel my order and was told I had three days to mail in the receipts for them to cancel it. They are in NJ & I am in TX. I explained that there was no way the receipts would make it there in three days. I was told, "Oh Well" pay for your order. Just please put the word out about these scammers before they "ROB" more decent people.

- Update! I filed a theft report with the local Police, and because I had the name of the female there is now an active warrant out for her. She said she was from Virginia but had no accent at all. The guy said he was from N. Carolina. Also I filed a complaint with the BBB. They are not BBB affiliated but they are investigating it just the same. Also, they tried to run the chks. through my account today...but couldn't. Be careful Please!
