My fiancé and I saw an apartment rental listed on Gumtree AU and emailed the address provided. "Michael" emailed us back focusing a different address [email protected]

He sent us a reply about how he and his family had been relocated to Western Africa and his father was sick having surgery in Germany. After googleing his email address we saw that he had basically copy and pasted the same reply to us that he has sent to god knows how many people?!?

He agreed straightaway to us becoming his "tenants" and asked us for 4 weeks rent up front to send to him and he would mail us the keys.

We could tell from the first reply we got from him that this was a scam and stopped all communication with him. Do not send this man any money if you happen to unfortunately come across him like we did.
