International boundaries
a Kester Moore, claiming to be the hiring manager for Depa Careers, LTD, out of Dubai, told me I needed to purchase $215 in software in order to start my job ASAP, and that they would in return send me a laptop and give me further details on the training for the job, which was supposed to be a data entry/accounting/ billing job. The vendor he told me to ship the money to was a Mysty Stange, and I asked for his personal information, and he said it was Kester Moore 5052 Gardengate Lane Orlando, FL 84822.
His Yahoo messenger ID is [email protected]. The person who emailed me originally is Amanda William. I never paid them the money, but I wanted everyone out there to be aware of the scam.

- I also replied to a job post like this only the company was Computerworld and I was asked to send $329.99 which would pay for a free laptop/software for the "job" and a fax machine. The money had to be western unioned and that the vendor didn't take any other form of payment. Needless to say I did not send the money and reported them to the Internet Complaint Website

- Also the western union address was the same as first reported above. To a Mysty Stange in Orlando FL.

- Wow Leila, I am so glad you didn't send them the money. They will try anything these days. It sounds like it may have been the same person! I told him how disgusted I was about people scamming innocent jobseekers who are trying to take care of their families, and he was like "I have 3 grandchildren, and all I want to do is spend the most time with them that I can, and I would never think of an elaborate scheme..." Unbelievable. He also didn't type good English.

I just received a response from them. They haven't gotten to the point of asking for money, but their introduction and their tone showed that they might be a scam. This scam came through Career.com and another that I received came through Jobs.com.
