spokeo advertised free trial-after signing up there "information" is totally false. They listed a friend of mine twice at the same address, once as caucasion the other as african american. When I noticed this I looked myself up. . .they listed me as living with my parents. I haven't lived with my parents in 40 years and they have never lived in my house. The information that they bait you with is all the information that they have. I called customer service to complain and they wanted my phone number "in case we get cut off" what they wanted was more personal information to sell to some other sucker. When I told the customer service guy I wanted my money back he hung up on me. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE THEY ARE A RIP OFF!!!

I lost $35 US signinig for their service. They gave a false info when i typed email - 79 results, but after I paid, I saw ZERO (!) results. And i saw zero results on my name. Do not pay them! I googled them first and no scam popped up about them in my search, so I thought they were real, but I should google spokeo scam, not just spokeo... -

I'm sorry to hear that our service did not meet your expectations. Spokeo showcases the power of information aggregation, as the data is gathered from a multitude of different sources, such as social networks, public records, phone listings, marketing surveys and more. We also organize the information so that it makes sense for you, as a user. However, machine aggregation has its limits. Since there is no human involved, the data is not verified and might not be accurate. Moreover, many sources do not refresh their data often. Our Terms of Use states clearly that we are a Search Engine, and do not create, maintain or modify any of the information you see. For this reason, we cannot guarantee full or accurate information for every name, phone number, email address or username you search for, as the results vary so much from person to person. We are only as good as our sources, and our engineers are working hard on new algorithms to improve our data accuracy. I do apologize again for the inconvenience.
Furthermore, Spokeo does not sell any information given to us by paying customers. Such information is used for administrative purposes only, and in no way constitutes publicly accessible data.
