My mother received a call from County Check Services 415 735-3652. They said there would be a warrant issued for my arrest the following day for a pay day loan. I called the number back and asked for specific information regarding the incident and the info they had on me for the loan was completely incorrect. I asked them what they wanted to stop the warrant from being issued and they gave me a $400 plus amount. I told them I would call back. I checked my credit report and there was nothing there. I called them back to question them further, with full intentions to try to clear it all up and they hung up on me when I began to dig deeper with them. I called three more times and they were very rude and hung up on me every time. I then called the police who came to my house. I told them the situation and the officer called the number and as soon as he identified himself they hung up on him. The officer told me not to pay a dime and that it was a scam.
