Answered my Craigslist room ad. Insisted that she wanted the room, begged for my address so her father could send me a a check for it. Total scam. Not a real person looking for a room. Beware.

- Thank you for this note. She also responded to my craigslist post and I didn't catch the smell of a fake response although I have gotten to know the smell of them from previous ads for roommates. Usually when I can tell it's a fake I don't answer but this time I answered. BUT I love that craigslist uses confidential, short-term addresses now so that these scammers don't get my actual address.
