Working with GTS has been one of the worst things ever occurred. They have rude staff members, can never get a hold of anyone over the phone and my claim checks take forever to be cashed.

In January 2013, my house had water damage, which took nearly two month to mitigate. By the month of March the mitigation was complete and the insurance was starting to send me checks to start working on the house. However, the insurance company had to send the check to my name and the bank name. In April, 2013 my loan was serviced to GTS from Bank of America, so Bank of America had to send all the papers and checks they have to GTS so GTS can write me out a check. I start my communication with GTS to ensure that we need to get the ball moving. On their website, they clearly state that it can take up to two weeks to get all the papers transferred - well, it took them well over a month. Once they received everything, they started requesting more papers from the contractors which were not required. In the state of Minnesota, only Plumbers and Electricians need to be licensed. However, they were asking for other contracts to send them their license - while I was telling GTS that they are not required to, they were still trying to get me to send them their lic. I ended up contacting the CEO letting them that they are not required to have a license and providing them with a website of the state showing so. Well, it was obvious that the customer rep did not know what she was talking about.

It took about three more weeks from that conversation "Mid May" until I finally received the first check. Following that, as the contractors started working, I sent progress pictures to receive more money for the contractors. Now three weeks after sending the progress pictures, I still have not received anything. I spoke with another customer rep back then and was told that everything should be processed and I should receive an updated check last week. A week later, nothing was received and when I called the claims department - I spoke with a lady by the name of Lori and asked to receive an update, but never heard back. Today, I spoke with a lady by the name of Cathy. She was rude and was not giving me any information as to when documents would be processed. When tried to get more information as to when I should receive an update to the money - she hung up in my face.

I am now having to pay the contractors out of my pocket and getting really frustrated.

I would also like to add that 90% of the time, when I try calling the claims department, no one answers.
