My name is Mark Thamkul bought a set of high end appliances (Sam Sung) , ie. refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, etc. (see attached) for the total amount of $4,398.11 which were supposed to be delivered within 10 days upon purchase. But there were some delays due to out of stock items (over sale during promotions). So after a month, still no stocks so I had to go and buy from Home Depot instead and tried to cancel the order. The sales person Larry at that time convinced me to keep this order due to fantastic price. So I thought they might be needed for another project which I could keep them for the future 6 months. So on November 1, 2011, I tried to call Larry and other sales person to have the shipment delivered but now they could not find some of the appliances so they wanted to investigate. After two months, they could only find the washer/dryer but not the rest. So they kept asking to give them time month after month.
Finally, they could not find all the appliances, nor had any record of delivery. So approximately by August 2012, I contacted Jeff Yang, one of the supervisor to ask for refund. He referred me to Phuc Main, the manager who promised to issue the refund to me.
After several phone calls and visits to the store to follow up the refund issue. Phuc said it would take times to report to the Headquarter office. After month after month of follow up, she said the headquarter could not find any record of delivery, nor the whereabout of the appliances. So she came up with an idea that any time I went to buy anything at Lowe's, she would charge me half of the price of the items, ie. the item cost $1,000., then I paid $500. She would debit the refunded items $500. towards the credited amount of $4,398.11 which I have been complying. And the last remainder amount is down to $2,398.11
Within the last couple months, I had been shopping there, Phuc was not available whether she was on the phone or with clients. So I had been paying full prices for the merchandise purchased. Therefore, I tried to call and went there personally to meet Phuc to see if she is still adhering to her agreement. She would not me, nor answer my phone calls. So this is not an once or twice incidents. They happen so numerous times. Now I would like to demand the refunds instead of working with the agreement which I found it to be very inconvenient and sometimes forced me to buy something totally unnecessary.
I think Lowe's as a big corporation to do this with its clients is totally unacceptable. Especially for someone who have spent more than $30,000. - $50,000. a year. Thanks for your help.
