On March 15, 2013, we asked your company to discontinue our service after about ten years. At that time, you sent us a bill for $91.00 which was automatically deducted from our bank account as we had been paying that way. Then we called you to inquire about return of the equipment at such time you informed us that we now owned it, but we were to send in the access cards from each box. We did that also in a timely manner.
After you received the access cards, you told us that after you scanned them, you found that we owed $313.57 for Pay for View dating back from 2009. Your explanation was something about accessing these programs via our remote control, one of the approved methods of accessing them. When we first called for an explanation, we were given the above information. After our first attempt, we were unable to reach anyone to request a written record of charges. However, you did send us bills with dates but no years were included. This made it difficult to compare dates with bank records of payment. Needless to say, we do not consider this good business practice because we only had your word and no detailed written records. I also tried to access records through your website, but the only record was for a bill this time for $400.07 which included, as you listed, PPV for April 26 and June 7. Notice the year is not given. However, on the printed bill, which I am enclosing a copy of, the charges are listed for Service Period 05/09/13- 06/08/13. Note that our service was discontinued March 15, 2013.
Please review our account because we feel we deserved better treatment and should be refunded $86.50 or more. We do not mind paying what we owe, but we do not appreciate rough shod accounting that we cannot compare to our records. Also, why would you wait four years to tell us that we had not paid for services?
