I got an email saying i was pre-approved for a loan, so i went through and filled stuff out, the computer said it matched me with a lending company in my area. so i went to the link it gave me and filled that stuff out. i got a call from this company saying i was approved for a $5,000 loan so i agreed that i wanted it and they confirmed my info i had given them online. they said before they could give me the money i would need to give them a first payment of what my monthly bill would be to pay them back. So i gave them the $211 through a greenDot MoneyPak over the phone. they processed that and said that a bill on my credit history was preventing them from being able to give me the loan, so they told me if i pay half of the bill they could do the other half and just take it out of my loan. so i gave them another 164.50 on a GreenDot MoneyPak. when that went through they said that they wouldn't let them pay the other half, so i ahd to pay the other half, so again i paid them 164.50 on GreenDot MoneyPak. when that went through they told me that because i've never had $5,000 in my account the FCC (i think they called it)would not let them transfer me the money, so they said that the FCC needed an 8% payment of the $5,000 which they said was $426.32, so i waited a couple days to get the money, when i got it i called them and gave it to them on GreenDot MoneyPak, when that went through the guy asked for the second one, i just said second what, he goes the second moneypak for $426.32, so i said i was told i only had to do one payment for that, he goes no it was probably a misunderstanding we need two MoneyPaks for $426.32, so i asked him what it would take to just cancel the loan request and get my money back, he said 30 days, so ive been thinking about what i should do and he keeps calling my moms cell phone and my work phone which my boss isn't too happy about. So when i told him that i just want to cancel the request and get my money back, he said okay you will recieve a check for $966.32 in about 45-50 days. i said okay and hung up. he called not even 5 minutes after that saying im sorry you cannot apply for a refund because your money and our funds(the $5,000) is stuck in the system. thats when i got mad, told him i was going to the police and hung up. he called me back again today asking if i got the money, i told him no, i said i had to take out my next 2 paychecks from my boss to pay you before, i have no money why do you think im trying to get a loan? he said he cannot do anything to get me my money back unless i pay them another $426.32, i have to live off $50 for the next 2 weeks because thats all i have left. I used ALL of my money and a little over $300 of my boyfriends money. i have no money left to give him, i just want my money back. All of this happened over the phone between the dates of wednesday june 19th and today which is friday june 28th.
