I was on the Aldi website about a month ago and an advert appeared giving me the option to trial a free sample of various products. One was a face serum...no charge for the product but just £1.99 P&P. I answered various questions online about my age, skin type etc and decided to order it. The product arrived quite quickly and is actually quite good. The next thing I know, however, the company have debited £84.71 from my bank account (via debit card). I googled the product again and found many instances of the same thing having happened to other people. Apparently in the T&Cs you have 14 days to contact them to say that you don't want the and to cancel the monthly subscription (which you aren't made aware of at the time of ordering a free sample!). I received an email confirming my sample order stating that I had ordered just that and that the £1.99 charge was purely for the postage...no mention of the 14 day period or any future pricing or payments that would be taken!!! I have today spoken to someone called Sophie, in Florida, who said that she would cancel my subscription but that no refund would be given for the £84.71 as it apparently states it clearly in the T&Cs. It can't be that clear as I have read lots and lots of people stating the same misfortune!! I am absolutely furious as I would NEVER pay £80+ for face cream!!!!! SCAMMERS.......I hope these complaints go viral and the scammers go out of business!!!!!!!
