I am looking for a rental apartment in LA and went to Craigslist and saw this listing:

I then contacted the property manager by the name of 'Mark John'. We exchanged email and then said that i need to pay a half month's rent and security deposit to a 'Gail Marie Vaughn'. When I googled, i ended up on scambook and noticed that others had been subject to this scam. So that is where the story ends.
Some things that tipped me off:
- very obscure email address
- poor english in the emails, syntax, spelling and grammar
- i used Google street view to look at the outside of the rental house and IT WAS NOT the same as what the picture had from the inside of the house.
