To whom it may concern:
I consulted global visa regarding emigration to Australia last year August and we start communications on the 20th of August 2012.
From the word go the consultant , Mr Stuart Hendricks told me that I have sufficient points to qualify for a permanent residency visa which a later learnt was the 190 PR skilled Visa.
My case got handed over to my Case Manager Miss Rene Smith who assured me as well that I have sufficient point to apply for the 190visa.
We were supposed to have my Electrical skills assessed by TRA but I got advised that we will have a practical assessment done by VETASSESS. This assessment cost me around AUD 2000 for the practical assessment as well as the paper based assessment.
After Vetassess and the IELTS assessment for which I scored an 8Band over all (but not 8 in each band) I got told by Miss Smith that I only have 55 points and I don’t qualify for the 190 visa. The only way to qualify is waiting until next year January. Then I will have 5 years post trade test experience as an electrician then we can apply /lodge Expression of Interest.
I’m a qualified fitter as well and I do work as one in my line of work, so I asked her if we can’t apply for the 190visa on my Fitter qualification and I got told no, and the reason was because we have started the application on my electrician trade.
I really feel cheated out of the money (R30 000) I have paid to Global Visas for their services. Yet if they lodged application on my fitter trade as I asked them if we could I could’ve applied for the 190visa. And to top it all off. Rene isnt registered to MARA as an immgration agent.
I spend extra money on IELTS test to try and get a better band score to get those 5 points towards my visa that I was told I shorted.
Please can you assisted in this matter. I really want my money back that I paid to Global visa because I didn’t get what I was promised from the start
