I answered a TV ad today for this hair restoration product as
they were offered a "free" trial. I was told that they would just charge postage, which was fair, and I gave my card info. Then the woman explained that they would be sending the first two month's product at the same time (this should have alerted me, but these people are masters of deceit - why would I want a two month supply when I had not even tried the stuff!! She told me that the price was just under $80. a
month!!
The call ended and, as I was feeling uneasy, I went on the web and typed in their name; there's a lot of stuff about them and they are not an honest company to say the least.
So I called them twice and was told that my order did not show up in the computer yet and would not for 48 hours (of course I immediately thought & believe that this is part of the con too.
They must be shady, who would want to build a business dealing with people like this?! So I have to call my bank first thing tomorrow and see whether I can stop them charging around $200. Will also call California Attorney General's office and report to them. Also, I understand they got Dr Oz to recommend them on his show and I shall certainly call him & ask that he verify the integrity of the businesses he recommends in future.
