I ordered a Canon T5i with 18-55 mm STM lens. AJRiches kit price was advertised for $649 while everybody else wanted $200 more.
I placed my order and was called back by Scott who needed confirmation before placing my order. He then tried to upscale me on better batteries as the one in the kit only last 20-30 min. He also went on to say that I wanted the US version and not the import which had a inferior lens. He could also get me a deal on a better warranty for half price. After saying yes he quoted me a price of $899.95 which would be charged to my credit card and then hung up .
When I tried to reach him for clarification on why my camera was now $250 more than my initial order, I went to his voice mail.
When I called customer service they to just redirected me to Scott's voice mail. 2 days later he called me back and said the order was at the warehouse and that I had asked for the STM lens which was the main reason my camera cost more. If I were to go to their web site I would see the $649 camera comes with the 18-55 II lens even though the bold type on my initial order showed the STM lens as part of the kit.
I didn't receive an e-mail confirmation as to what exactly I was getting and when. I kept calling and getting no answer or even anyone picking up the phone. I think they had my phone number blocked.
I was so concerned I would never see my new camera, but persistent payed off as they finally processed the order, expedited delivery and it arrived yesterday.
I did get the right camera & lens, 2 long life batteries ( only one was a Canon battery), 5 yr extra warranty, and table top tripod. All and all I got my monies worth but it took too many frustrating phone calls to a company that does not pride itself on good company service.
Next time I will save time and lots of frustration by buying locally or working with Amazon.
