I was trying to open an account with myvconnect.com. I saw that they offered unlimited phone minutes and got excited and signed up. I was charged a one time set up fee( I don't remember how much) and a fee for the 3 month time frame I choose, totaling $70.58. Only after this did they tell me that I was not on myvconnect.com and I was not allowed to tell GTL (Global Tel Link) that I was using their services when I set up my account with them. I thought about it and rechecked the info and found they had entered the wrong correctional facility, so I called them and was told I could go on line and change it anytime I wanted. What they did not tell me is that it would cost me $20. to make this change. I did not change it but used this as one of my reasons to cancel my service. They then changed the facility for free. I asked for my services be cancelled and my money refunded. They state they cannot refund my money once I realized what kind of scam this was. I received the following response repeatedly "Regarding refunds, please understand that the number that was given to you has been purchased from our providers based on the level of subscription that you have selected. Our providers will not issue refunds to us once the number has been PURCHASED, ACTIVATED, SECURED and TESTED, that is why we do not issue refunds and keep encouraging you to use our services." I repeatedly told them I did not want to use their services and wanted a refund. They have not responded to my request for over a week now. After I got very angry with them and called them a bunch of idiots( I was wrong). I have saved all emails from them and have continued to request a refund. but to no avail. Please help! This is a huge scam and you end up paying for two separate services that cost a lot.
