I had signed up as a consumer with Palmco on last year. In July 2013, I received a bill of $200 + dollars being owed. I live in an apartment and a bill that high was astounding. so i notified palmco, the same day the bill was received to transfer back to BGe. To my dismay the transfer was not to take effect until one month later for electric and almost a month and a half later for gas. Today i received a bill from palmco owing $288. Never during the visit from the representatives was i informed of a variable rate. I would have never signed. I was informed that the rate would always be lower that bge and would see the savings on my bill. this was true for the first few months. and maybe the slowly increased the rates but i didn't notice a hike in my bill until july. No where on the bill does it state how much per therm you pay palmco. i noticed that with bge it was 10.something per therm. I called a representative and inquired about my initial rate, he reported it was 7.something. I asked about my rate in August, it was an astounding 18. something. That is ridiculous that this company can get away with ripping consumers off like that. Please help me get justice.
