Received a post card in the mail, with American Airlines logo on it - saying we won 2 free plane tickets and 3 nights stay. We set up a time for our presentation - also promised $50 in gift cards. When we arrived (with 6 other couples) they played a game, where we again "won" a free week in a condo or hotel, or a free cruise. turns out they try to get you for $8995 to become a member, with added fees. We delined, but were given cvouchers which had "activation fees" of $50 and $70 plus other charges. Plus, the "free condo" we won at the presentation, turns out would cost us $279 plus activation fees. All to be sent by money order. We were suspicious and are so glad we read these posts, and many others on line about this being a scam! Only sorry we wasted our time and gas to get to the presentation. Feel so sorry for a couple who signed up for the $8995 at the presentation!
