I wanted to make a collect call from Paris to Canada, to contact my credit card company (Visa), so I went to their payphone. I tried two different numbers from Visa supposed to be able to receive collect calls, but they never worked. In the end, I talked to an operator and he told me his system wouldn't take the collect call so I would have to use my credit card to make that call. There is no price shown anywhere, and he didn't tell me how much it would cost.
For a 4 minutes call, that is way overprice. As a traveller on very low budget, I can't afford being stolen like that.
