Received a phone call from someone claiming to be from a company called Windows 24/7 technical support. (not microsoft) The number was not available on the caller ID. (clue #1). The guy with an East Indian accent, claimed that there was a problem with malicious software in my area. In my area? (clue #2). I asked who exactly he worked for, and he just beat around the bush. I led him on for about 20 minutes while he thought he was "navigating" me on my pc. (which I wasn't). I suspect he was about to try to get me to click on a link to a website when I started questioning him again. I had enough fun with him so I told him that I though this was not legitimate. He actually told me to (Inappropriate Content Removed) in his cute little accent. That's when I unloaded on him and hung up. Just thought I would share this so somebody doesn't fall for it and possibly lose their private information due to this phishing scam.
