I called and set up a interview with a Mr. Rosa I then got a call back from a Mercedes to confirm my appointment for 8/2/2013. I told him on the phone that I already had my 8,16 and fireguard certification and he said that was good bring them in along with my resume, social security card and NYS ID along with $100 for background check and fingerprint. I met with Mr. Rosa and he seen my papers, resume and also my college degree and being that I had almost 20 years experience with HRA he said he had a job for me at JFK with his sister. I would start off with 2 weeks paid training, the first week would be 7.25 hourly and the 2nd week would be 17.50 hourly of the salary he claim that I would be earning. I gave him the $100 and he said he will be back with my copy of the receipt he just need me to initial the areas indicating the background check and fingerprint, but when he returned with the receipt it had $319 charged and a balance of $219 that I owed, when I returned home I had realized what he had done. I called for him that sat. at 11:07am a lady named Ms. Taylor said that he would be in later and she would give him the message. I never heard back from him until a week later asking me when am I coming in with the balance and I stated to him that I am not paying it because he lied to me. He said I had the job at JFK I just needed to do a CPR class with the company on the 6th at 5pm and he would take care of everything. I also informed him CPR classes are only $70 because I had one scheduled for the 9th with another company and he said I can do it there. I did the class and they are still calling me for a balance of $219 and I still didn't get no job with JFK I called him back and told him I don't have time for games because I work hard for my money and he stated to me he will take care of me because he didn't know if I was someone from the Attorney Generals office. Still no job. I just want my $100 back and would love to have money for my time waisted. I wish the Attorney Generals office close up all of these scam people because people are in need for a job and not to have there hard earned money stollen.
