This scam has reached OKC now. This individual took another's post and listed it at a lower price using his contact information. When I sent an e-mail inquiry about the house, he said his family had moved to Africa, but were renting the house. They said a property manager had upped the price against their wishes (covering for the similar post with a higher price from the actual company renting the home), so they were posting it themselves. He said that because I sounded like such a great renter, they would rent it to me without meeting me. If I sent my application and mailed the "refundable" deposit, they would mail me the keys. The story sounded fishy and the area code is not one in OKC, so I googled the phone number and a list of craiglist scam websites popped up. Please watch out for this. Never mail anyone money on craigslist! Here is the information used this time for the scammer:
