I was actually refered to them by a Samsung employee. I had a problem with my Samsung tablet and I was told to go to Google. Since Google phone # is impossible to find I asked him if he had the phone number which then gave me. He even said that if they needed his help they could set up a call and he would help them with my problem. After them spending a few hours going through my computer, (you need to remember that I really thought I was dealing with Google help desk.) He started showing me errors and corrupt files and said this needed to be cleaned up. No mention of fixing my initial problem. Next thing I know, he said that if he can fix the files there would be no charge but he strongly urged me, actually scared me into purchasing a 3 year maintanence plan for $399.00 or a 2 year plan for $299.00. Slso if he could not fix it his senior technician would need to do and that would cost me. Well, the senior tech needed to fix this so tjere would now be an additional charge and I needed to make up ky mind fast. I said I have to discuss with my wife this evening and he said can't you just call her and I said no I could not so we arranged for an answer the next morning. By then I did an internet surch and read the , any reports how people had been scamed by them. When the tech called this morning I said no thatnthey were kust a scam (which he denied) but I said no and hung up. This time a
L it cost me was wasted time and no information unless he stole information whole he was in the computer. I realise that it takes me a long time to learn a lesson but I had a similar situation witj Advance Technology Solutions. This one did cost me close to $400.00 which they said they would refund me. It has been pver a week and no refund yet despite their assurance. But I will give them a few days more. But they to are a scam company as tjey use the same lines as others do. All I can suggest is 1) do not pay anything until you have had a chance to research them. If I had done this the first time I would have saved me a lot of grief but I learned the second time. Other thing I would also suggest now that I think of it, don't even let them access your computer until you have done your research.

Update: 09/12/2013

My only concern now was with the credit that I was promised which as of yesterday I did. So I am okay. My main point is that someone learns a lesson from this. Check out who you are dealing with before taking any action.
