In the Lowe's parking lot, two men in a van pulled up next to me. They said they worked for a company who installs home theater systems and they had overstock they didn't want to return to their boss. Showed me boxes including a projector, screen and The "Spectrum R-500" Elite Series surround sound system. Showed me a website that said the surround sound retails for $2000 (and the projector for $5000). I knew from the beginning that something felt wrong, even looked up Spectrum home theater on my phone, and found the same website they had showed me. Didn't see the "Scambook" link right under it til after the fact! So I took the bait and took the system for $250. Turns out it's just cheap speakers, maybe worth $100...maybe.
