Posted an Ad on Craigslist for snow tires to sell. Received some texts telling me that a party wanted to buy the snow tires. Also said that they were going to send an amount for the tires and shipping and that I should cash the check and forward the difference to the shipping company. Radar went off and I told them that if a check in any amount more than my asking price was sent that I would send the check back. Two days later I get a Fedex with a 2000.00 check in it. Texted party and told them I was going to send the check back and asked for the appropriate address and they texted back almost insisting that I cash the check because they were worried that the check would get lost on the return trip.
