I received a call from Mike Davis after reviewing a few voice calls from Arthur Abrams. He stated that I owed money for a pay day loan I took out in 2007. I paid they loan in 2008. He said that the total amount due on the account was $3900. He gave me two options settle today for $630.19 or have an warrant issues for my arrest within 48 hours. He said I had failed to appear twice and that if I didn't pay today I would be arrested, my bond would be $25000 and I could spend up to 40 days in jail. He gave me two options to pay either with a debit card or I could go into a Bank of America and deposit funds into an account he gave me. While I was gathering his information I asked for his LLC NUMBER, at that point he became very unhelpful and said he was done being nice and said that I had 48 hours to turn myself in to the DAs office. I contacted my city's court and DA and they had no record of me being ordered to appear, or any legal action pending against me. I spoke to the fraud department of the Secret Service and by law any collection company must provide you with a business license number and their company address. It is also against Federal Law for a debt collector to threaten harm, injury or legal action against you. This person was very persuasive and good at being a bully. Don't be a victim of this crime!
