I paid $700 for a deposit on a $1400 job to have wood stain working done. The crew came out and did some work - but stopping showing up. They would never even call to let me know they were not showing up. For $700 all I got out of it were some test stains and a bit of stripping. All in all, only about 20% of the job was done. I felt that at minimum he should return $300 of the $700 deposit.
