Received a phone call from 617-600-4177 on 9/24/13, left a message and stated that I had an order to appear in court and that a restraining order has been issued against me. After trying multiple times to get in touch with somebody at this number, I finally talked to somebody and before he would give me any information he said he was sending the sheriff to my house. After a brief hold he told me the sheriff's dept were on their way and that I owed money to credit one for a debt six years ago. And if I paid $1500 now I could keep this out of court. I told him my records show that this was paid in full and that I would contact credit one. He then tried to tell me that he was credit one. I asked him for his name and extension and when I called the number I had on my statement I would ask for him, he wouldn't give me the info, all he said was the cops are on their way and to enjoy jail. I called Credit One, they said they are not suing me and that the debt they had on file has been paid in full and is closed. This is a scam. They left the exact same message on my brother's phone, used my name and gave all the info. Now a week later on 10/2/13 they left the same message on my phone and my brother's phone again. This is some sort of scam. I talked to the credit protection agency, and they said that all the info I gave them points to a scam. I didn't file a compliant with them at the time, and today I can't because of the government shut down. Somebody needs to stop these people.
