I have wasted at least two hours in the last 3 months trying to get Rakuten.com from spamming me. I had a customer relationship with buy.com. I have never, nor will I ever buy from Rakuten.com. I have repeated requested that I be removed from their mailing list, both by the method they provide and directly from the site. I have files 2 complaints with the Federal Trade Commission's "Can-spam" violation form. They stopped for a couple of weeks and then started spamming again. I get 4 to 10 emails a day from them. Maybe because the are a Japanese company they are not subject to US regulations. Maybe they just think they are not. I don't want any recompense. I just want the spamming to stop for my sake and that of others. I doubt I am the only one bothered by this.
