i traveled from fairbanks ak to anchorage ak. for surgery and checked into the westmark.
i saw absolutely no "no smoking" signage any where so i lit a cigarette only to be barged in on by the manager and she informed me this was a no smoking hotel then she promptly charged my debit card $169.80.
its my understanding that hotels/motels were required to post no smoking signs in prominent places including lobby,elevators, stairwells,and rooms.
if the establishment had informed me at the time of check in smoking was not permitted i would have complied.
is it possible to recover the money?
